⚠️ Critical Check: The 3C0998281A factory part number natively matches the 12-Torx gear pattern. Before unboxing your replacement or bolting it up, look inside the actuator housing or at your existing harness plug to ensure it matches the 12-spline configuration on your vehicle. You will also need a diagnostic scan tool (like VCDS or OBDeleven) to retract the electronic calipers into "service mode" before compressing the piston, otherwise, you risk permanently breaking the internal plastic gears.
