VW MK3 Golf, Jetta & Passat 1.9L TDI Valve Cover — AHU & 1Z Engine Codes

OEM valve cover for the first-generation Volkswagen 1.9L TDI direct injection engine (engine codes AHU and 1Z). Includes the used gasket, liner, and cap as shown in the photos.

The valve cover encloses the valvetrain, keeps engine oil contained, and prevents contaminants from entering the cylinder head. On 30-year-old TDI engines, covers crack, warp, or develop oil seepage around the gasket — a donor OEM unit is the correct fix when the cover itself is beyond sealing.
