03L131501E is an OEM Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve for 2.0L TDI (diesel) engines. 

Description
This electric control valve manages the flow of cooled exhaust gases back into the engine's intake. By doing so, it lowers the combustion temperature and reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. A failing valve typically triggers a check engine light and can cause rough idling or reduced engine efficiency.
