VW MK3 Golf, GTI & Jetta VR6 Front Oxygen Sensor — Bank 1

OEM front oxygen sensor (O2 sensor) for the Volkswagen MK3 platform equipped with the 2.8L VR6 engine. This is the Bank 1 upstream (pre-cat) sensor — VR6 specific and not interchangeable with the 2.0L ABA or 1.9L TDI applications.

The VR6’s narrow-angle six-cylinder layout uses a unique exhaust manifold configuration, making the O2 sensor position and connector specific to this engine. A failing upstream O2 sensor on the VR6 typically triggers a check engine light, causes rough idle, poor fuel economy, and can throw the engine into open-loop fueling — hurting both performance and emissions.
